Jennifer has been practicing in the St. Margaret’s Bay/Tantallon area since 2001. After practicing law and managing her own firm for a number of years, Jennifer and Tracey decided to merge their practices in 2012 and formed Kennedy Schofield Lawyers.
Jennifer practices primarily in the area of family law with a concentration on issues related to separation and divorce, child support, custody and access, common-law relationships, cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, adoption and child protection.
Jennifer also practices in the area of real estate law, providing legal services relating to migrations, purchases, sales, and financing arrangements for residential property.
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts (general) degree (1991) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (sociology) degree (1995) both from Acadia University.
She received her Master of Arts (sociology) (1996) and Bachelor of Laws (2000) both from Dalhousie University. Jennifer was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2001.
Jennifer is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Tantallon Senior Elementary Student Advisory Council. Jennifer served as the secretary for the St. Margaret’s Bay Chamber of Commerce for 4 years and is a past board member of the St. Margaret’s Centre.
