Amanda practices in the areas of real estate law, wills and estates, and corporate law.
In addition to her legal knowledge and caring approach, you will also experience her comfort of technological advances used in today’s legal field and the concept of bringing legal services to you as a mobile option. She appreciates typical office hours may not work for everyone and can offer early morning appointments when needed!
Amanda was born and raised in the Halifax area and is truly committed to serving her community through volunteering and helping others. She has volunteered with the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia providing legal information to the public, participated in the Dalhousie Legal Aid Wills Project which provided wills to low income seniors, she is on or has served on the Board of Directors for the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank, the St. Margaret’s Bay Business Association, the Tantallon Wildfire Life Safety Coalition, the Highland Park Rate Payers Association, the Military Family Resource Centre and routinely presents to various community groups including at the Military SCAN (Second Career Assistance Network) Seminars. As the spouse and daughter of retired military members, working with military families is of special interest to her and has often gone the extra mile to support members during tight timelines of deployments, house hunting trips and military exercises.
Additionally, Amanda graduated cum laude from Saint Mary’s University, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Political Science and Religious Studies as well as a minor in French, and completed her law degree at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University earning her a Juris Doctor degree with a Certificate in Business Law.
