In support of St. Margaret’s Bay Association for Community Living

Each year for the past three years Kennedy Schofield Lawyers has committed to fundraising for a local charity for the calendar year.  Last year they were proud to help support Hunter Marsden in his amazing fight against cancer.

“We are always so touched to see how our community rallies around a family in crisis,” says Tracey Kennedy, a partner in the firm.  “Hunter and his family were, and will continue to be, our heroes.  We were proud to be able to do our small part, along with so many others.”

This year Kennedy Schofield Lawyers will be fundraising for St. Margaret’s Bay & Area Community Living, an organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities in our community with programs such as life skills, exercise classes, crafts and games.

“SMB Community Living gets very little government funding each year, if any,” says Tracey.  “So the parents of the adult children whom this program benefits find themselves fundraising in addition to providing the additional care their children may need.”

Last year Kennedy Schofield held a paint night and also a yard sale with donations from the community, which was a huge success.  And in their reception area they sell used books and 100% of the funds raised are donated to the charity.  There are always great selections for adults and children and they welcome donations if people wish to contribute.
