Bio

Charlotte Edwards joined Kennedy Schofield Lutz Lawyers as an Articled Clerk, then became an Associate lawyer, and is pleased to be practicing now as a Partner with the firm.

Charlotte practices in the areas of family law, real estate, and wills and estates, including probate. Charlotte is both a good listener and is persistent. The reason Charlotte began her legal studies was to be able to do work that helped people, and she is eager to assist clients of the firm.

Charlotte is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, but has been living in Nova Scotia since 2005. When not working, Charlotte enjoys cooking and baking, participating in community events, or going on walks throughout the HRM with her husband, Ryan, and dog, Gracie. She has volunteered with the St. Margaret’s Bay Housing Coalition, Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia and Xara Choral Theatre Boards.

Charlotte graduated from the Schulich School of Law in 2013. At this time she was awarded the HG Puddester Prize for her involvement in the community, and academic performance in Public Law. During her time at Dalhousie, Charlotte obtained a great deal of experience performing legal research through positions she held as a Research Assistant for Professors at Dalhousie University.

Before joining the firm, Charlotte gained practical experience through work in the non-profit sector in Quality and Risk Management roles. Charlotte also has a Masters in Health Administration and an undergraduate degree in Commerce, both from Dalhousie University.
